This policy explains what information Hail Mary Dad (the “Service”) handles and how. We aim to collect as little as possible. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information we handle

  • Account info. If you create an account, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your email and name (and your password or social-login identifier).
  • Payment info. If you buy a Draft Pass, Stripe processes the payment. We receive confirmation and limited details (that you paid, and the season) but never your full card number.
  • League & draft data. Your league settings and draft picks are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) on your device — not on our servers.
  • Entitlement. The season your Pass covers is stored as metadata on your account (via Clerk) so we know what to unlock.
  • Technical data. Standard server logs (such as IP address and request details) used for security, rate-limiting, and debugging.

2. How we use it

To provide and secure the Service, process payments, prevent abuse (rate limiting), and improve the product. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

3. AI processing

When you request an AI scout report or brief, we send relevant player and factor data (e.g. player names, public stats, and your league's scoring format) to Anthropic to generate a summary. We do not send your name, email, or payment information to the AI.

4. Service providers

We rely on these providers, each processing data only to provide their service:

  • Clerk — authentication & account management
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Vercel — hosting
  • Neon — database (player data)
  • Upstash — caching & rate-limiting
  • Anthropic — AI-generated summaries

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management (via Clerk). We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

6. Retention & your choices

Account data persists until you delete your account; you can update or delete it from your account settings or by contacting us. Local draft data stays in your browser until you clear your browser storage.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
