Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Hail Mary Dad (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

1. What the Service is

Hail Mary Dad is a fantasy football draft assistant: it provides player rankings, tiers, recommendations, and AI-generated summaries for informational and entertainment purposes only. It is not professional, financial, or betting advice, and we do not guarantee any draft, lineup, or league outcome.

Hail Mary Dad is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Football League (NFL), any NFL team, or any NFL player. Player names, statistics, and team names are used for informational purposes only.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account, which is created and managed through our authentication provider (Clerk). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

3. The Draft Pass & payments

The Seasonal Draft Pass is an optional one-time purchase, priced as shown at checkout (currently $5.99), that unlocks premium features (the full Digest, AI scout reports, and the auction max-bid) for the applicable NFL season. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card details. The Pass grants access for the season purchased and does not auto-renew. Prices, features, and availability may change.

4. All sales final

The Pass is a one-time purchase for the applicable season, and all sales are final — we don't offer refunds. Because the board, tiers, and your one-line why are free to use before you buy, you can see exactly what the Pass adds before paying. If a payment is reversed (for example, a card dispute), Pass access for that season is revoked. Nothing here limits any non-waivable refund rights you may have under the law of your place of residence.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service or its data;
• attempt to bypass the paywall, rate limits, or any access controls;
• use automated means to abuse the Service; or
• use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

6. Third-party data

Player data, projections, values, status, and news come from third-party sources (including Sleeper, nflverse, FantasyCalc, LeagueLogs, and DynastyProcess) and are provided “as is”. We do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.

7. AI features

Certain summaries are generated by AI (Anthropic's Claude) from provided data and public web sources. The AI is a summarizer, not a decision-maker; its output may be incomplete or wrong, so verify anything important before relying on it.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which may be $0 if you use only the free features). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Changes & termination

We may update these Terms; continued use after a change means you accept it, and the “last updated” date above will reflect material changes. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits any consumer rights you may have under the laws of your place of residence.
